This is a vintage bell that would have been found on any number of old counter tops, often with a little sign saying; Ring for Service. Whether at a hotel desk or next to the cash register of the general store this has a clear ring that we all have some remembrance of. The dome is nickel plated steel. Thee base ring has a leaf design and appears to have an anodized finish with copper highlights. The clapper is cast metal. There is no maker or any other information on it.
It measures about 3 1/6” in diameter and 2 3/8” to the top of the plunger. It still has a beautiful clear tone when the plunger is struck and is in otherwise fair condition. The plating on the dome is good with minor wear on two-thirds but the other third is pitted, scuffed and discolored. This doesn't inhibit the beautiful "ding" when rung.
