Old, American Bisque Cookie Jar - Baby Bear in Rompers

This cute, vintage cookie jar was made by the American Bisque company around 1958. Depending on the book you pick up it goes by Boy Bear, Bear in Rompers and Bear with Cookie. As with most American Bisque cookie jars this is a colorful piece and very cute. The bear is brown with a pale yellow snout and rosy cheeks. It's wearing a one piece, blue outfit that appears to have pink ruffles along the bottom edge and a lacey collar. In his left paw there appears to be a flower or a fancy cookie. All of the color is under glaze. It has the standard bottom for an American Bisque piece and it marked on the lower back; USA.

It measures about 10 7/8” tall and is in very good condition with minimal wear. There is one small chip on the rim of the head that fits inside the body. I have shown a close-up of this in the photos.
