This cute, vintage, child's feeding dish features Baby Bunting. There was apparently a series featuring Baby Bunting poems from the early 1900's. This one reads; Baby Bunting lifts his hat - Politely to the Pussy Cat. The center design shows a chubby little child walking along a flower lined pathway with his dog, whose name I believe is Bunch. Before them is a scared cat with arched back and straight tail to whom Baby Bunting is indeed, tipping his hat. The small picture on the front edge of the bowl is a green parrot which ties in with another of the Baby Bunting poem plates I have seen. There are also two thin lines of gold trim on the outside. The bowl is deep with tapered sides. The back is marked The with the Homer Laughlin name and hallmark, Made in U.S.A. and K & N or K 4 N.
It measures about 7 5/8” in diameter at the bottom and 6 7/8” in diameter at the top edge. It is about 1 ¼” deep and is in very good condition with minor wear to the center decal and the gold trim. The parrot decal has rub wear. It has no chips or cracks.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
