Old, School Boy Peanut Butter Tin

This is a vintage tin for School Boy Peanut Butter manufactured by The Rogers Company of Seattle and Tacoma. It is a two and a half pound size with a slip on style lid instead of being the pail style. The front has the name and company information and the back has a statement with the many uses of the spread. It also reads; A handsome booklet of recipes free for the asking. It has bold colors with a striking pinkish red, deep blue and black. The lid is sort of a flat, metallic blue-black and the inside is shiny gold. The inside lip has a sharp edge apparently from the can opener that was used.

It measures about 4 ¼” in diameter and about 5 3/8” high. It is in nice condition with good color, gloss and overall minor wear. There are a few scratches on the body of the tin and there is a dent on the lower front edge. The lid has a little worn paint and a few stain, discolored areas.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
