This is old stereoptic card is from the Keystone View Company. It pictures the beautiful York Minister, a gothic cathedral in York, England. Also known as The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St Peter in York, this photo shows the beautiful architectural detail and has the bonus of having the early 1900’s cars that are parked along the street. When viewed through a stereoscope viewer, the two identical pictures on the card merge as one and give the illusion of being 3-D. The back of the card has an historic description of the picture on the front with the heading; West Front and Towers of York Minster, York, England.
It measures about 3 3/8” by 7” and is in very good condition with minimal wear. This card has a natural curve to it so it does not lie flat as shown in the photograph.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
