This is a vintage, First Edition cookbook is filled with recipes by Chefs of the West. It represents the best, outstanding recipes that had previously been printed in Sunset magazine, It has over 471 recipes and covers the gamut from appetizers, a variety of main courses and ending with desserts all within 220 pages plus an index. The recipes seem simply written and the illustrations by Harry O. Diamond are clever. This 1957 First Edition was published by the Lane Publishing Co. of Menlo Park, California.
It measures about 7 ¼” by 10 3/8” by almost ¾” and is in generally good condition. The inside pages are mostly crisp and clean with minimal wear and a tight spine. The first couple of pages have a little stain and folded, lower corners. The hardcover has minor scuff wear. Note, the color of the first color doesn’t show the “pink” very distinctly but it is better in the other photos.
