This vintage watch fob has an enameled American Legion Auxiliary star emblem at the top and is otherwise, beautifully detailed. It features a tall building in the center (apparently the Los Angeles City Hall) with a horse-drawn covered wagon leading to it. There are palm trees to one side and the depiction of a mission on the other side and the date 1938. It reads; El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de Los Angeles which roughly translates to; The Town of Our Lady the Queen of Los Angeles. It has no maker and I would assume it to be brass or bronze.
It measures about 1 7/8" in length with the loop at the top and 1 1/4" across at the widest part. It is in very nice condition with good patina. The back has considerable scratch wear.
