This vintage scale is considered a U.S. standard, machine divided, triangular white edge scale for architects and mechanical engineers. One side is marked; Dietzgen - 1655B - Made in U.S.A. - Excello. It is a 6” rule with the following divisions; 3/32, 3/16, 1/8, ¼, 3/8, ½, ¾, 1, 1 ½, 3 in. to the foot, 1/16 in.. It looks as though it might be made entirely of a plastic material.
It measures about 6 ¾” by 15/16” each side and is in good condition with minor scratch wear. There are some red markings as shown in the photos which may have been from the previous user.
