Old, John J. Kovacevich, Wooden Crate Sign

This is fun little piece that is and end panel off a vintage fruit crate. It reads; John J. Kovacevich - Grower and Shipper of Quality Fruit - Arvin, Calif.. The agricultural, Kovacevich family apparently had one of the first wineries in the San Joaquin Valley in California. Over stamped in the center appear to be the initials F.B.S.. A few eyelets and some wire and it can be made to hang on the wall of a kitchen or den.

It measures about 13 ½” by 5 5/8” by almost ¾”. There is no finish on the piece of wood, it’s just the way it came off the end of an old crate. There are a couple of splintered areas which are shown in the photo detail.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
