This is a fun, vintage display piece that would probably have been found in an old hardware or general store. The rack was made to hold the replacement rolls for clothes wringers and would have held up to four rolls. The blue and cream colored enameled tin sign at the top of the rack reads; Authorized Dealer - Goodrich Wringer Rolls For All Makes of Washing Machines. Stamped into the rack portion is; Old West Wire - Detroit. The sides of the rack fold inward so the display piece can be shipped flat. The rack measures about 15 3/4" high by 12 1/4" wide by 10". The rack is in nice condition with some wear. The sign portion has good gloss but it does have some scratches and chips. The wire appears to have been originally painted silver but much of it is worn off.
This great piece comes with one old, never used wringer roll. It has the original paper cover over the roll which reads; Anchor Brand - Manufactured by Lovell Manufacturing Co. of Pennsylvania. The rubber portion of the roll measures about 11 1/2" long with the total length of the steel shaft measuring about 21". The roll as previously mentioned has never been opened. The paper cover does have tears and is presently shrunk wrapped to protect it from further wear.
