These two, vintage, paper cards are old trade cards. At the bottom of each is the advertising for Button’s Raven Gloss which was a shoe dressing for preserving leather. Both cards are printed in shades of blue with a gold strip across the top.
One card has young boy about to strike the metal kettle that a man is carrying on his back. The other card has a boy walking nonchalantly past a couple that has obviously been the target of his snowball attack.
The back side of these cards has a list of “well-known“ dealers that endorse the products of Button & Ottley of New York.
They are printed on lightweight cardboard and measure about 2 3/4” by 4 ¼”. They are in good condition with minimal soiling, edge and corner wear.
Sold and priced as the pair.
