This colorful phonograph needle tin once held old phonograph needles. The tin has nice graphics on the hinged on lid with a little blue bird against a background of alternating bands of blue and gold that look like sun rays. The brand, Songster is written in orange. The tin originally held 200 Soft Tone needles and were British Manufacture by J. Stead & Co. Ltd. Of Sheffield England. Along the edge of the lid I believe it reads; The Correct Needle for Electric Records. There a few, very thin, steel needles which may be original to the tin, inside with the paper insert.
The tin measures about 1 7/8” by 1 3/8” and is in very nice condition with minor wear. The gold along the sides and edges is weak and discolored.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
