This pretty covered jar is a pale pink ribbed glass with a painted tin lid. The lid is decorated with a quaint image of a man, woman and child in fine colonial attire and accented with gold line trim. The dresser jar has its original foiled label on the bottom that reads; Dermay Fifth Avenue Bath Powder. Included will be an old Richard Hudnut powder puff that I got with it.
It measures about 4 ½” in diameter at the widest part and 2 5/8” high to the center of the domed lid. The glass is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage. The paint on the lid has several blemishes and is worn through to the metal, especially on the raised edges and around the band where it probably wasn’t very strong to begin with and there are there are a few small dents.
