This is an attractive art tile with vibrant colors. It features pieces of white pottery with black and rust, geometric designs. It appears to have a pile of red chilies which beautifully contrast the pottery and the rich turquoise background. The front is signed Teissedre with a 1990 copyright. The tile is mounted on a fiberboard backing with a small hole so it can be hung on the wall. It could also be used as a trivet or on an easel an artistic accent and would fit well in a Southwest decorating scheme. The back has a label that identifies it as a piece by Cleo Teissedre, Handcrafted in the U.S.A..
It measures just shy of 6” square and is in very nice condition with minimal wear. There are a few flakes off the edge, the worst is shown in the photos and one tiny one in the glazed area on the upper right corner, also shown in the photos.
