Old, Schafer & Vater, Figural Flask - 19th Hole Golfer

This dapper golfer, in a yellow knickered outfit, is a vintage flask or nip made by the Schafer & Vater company of Germany in the early 1900's. The rosy cheeked gentleman has his club in hand with the golf ball positioned at the bottom edge of the flask. It reads; The Nineteenth Hole on the front. On the bottom is the faintly embossed S & V crown mark and what appears to be the number 51. It has the original porcelain capped cork closure.

It measures about 3 5/8" to the top of his cap and is in very nice condition with minimal wear. On the back of the flask neck there is an apparent factory flaw that looks like a nick out of the porcelain. This happens when there is an impurity in the bisque when it is fired and is often called a “blowout”. This has been taken into consideration in the price.
