This vintage, two handled vase was probably made in Japan. The majority of the scene is on two of the four panels with a treed panel and a house at the end of a wide road. The other two panels is just the trailing ends of the scene. It is done in soft blues, pale lavender, greens and gold. The top portion is accented with applied gold beading and details. On the bottom is the faint trace of a blue decal which I think may have been the blue sunrise mark of a Hand Painted Nippon decal.
It measures about 6 13/16” tall and about 4 7/8” across at the handles. The base measures about 2 ½” square. It is in very good condition with minor wear. Some of the gold is worn, particularly off the handles and there are two horizontal lines above the hill behind the house that may be rust marks.
