This vintage tin once held small pastilles or pellets called Vichy-Etat which were made in Vichy France. This product was originally used as a digestive aide rather than the candy it is known for today. The tin states; Echantillon Gratuit which translates to; Free Sample. The white & blue tin has a hinged, domed lid and the bottom is slightly concave.
The empty tin measures about 2” by 1 ½” by 5/8” and is in fairly good condition with nice gloss on the top of the lid. It has some scratch and rub wear especially around the outer edges of the top and bottom. The paint around the edge is weak so the metal shows through.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
