These vintage shakers for salt and pepper are rather pretty. They have six panels and are slightly tapered. Three of the colorfully hand painted panels appear to be of grapes and peaches and the shakers are also embellished with a hand painted gold detail. The tops also have some gold detailing. On the bottom is the green M in wreath, Hand Painted Nippon mark. The M stands for importer Morimura.
They measure about 3” high and are in good condition with light wear and no damage. Much of the gold is worn from the top of one shaker, probably from corrosive salt.
