Old DeLaval Die Cut Tin Advertising Cow & Calf

These little die cut tin cows are vintage advertising pieces from the De Laval Separator Company. The Holsteins are made so the legs can be bent outward slightly allowing them to stand on their own. On the back of the cow is advertising for the cream separator and the milker with small but detailed pictures of each. On the back of the baby calf it reads; Warm, sweet and pure milk from a De Laval cream separator is the best of foods for calves and pigs. They were made by the American Art Sign Co. of Brooklyn, N.Y. in the early 1900’s. These do not come with the original envelope.

The cow measures about 3 ¼” tall to its horns and about 5 ½” in length. The calf measures about 1 7/8” high to the top of its ear and about 2 3/8” in length. They have both had their legs previously bent for standing and are in fairly good overall condition with some light paint loss where the tin has been creased. There is also some paint loss on the horns.

Priced and sold as the pair. I will not sell them separately.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
