This industrial looking, electric juicer is a Model 3100 Dormeyer. It's an AC powered reamer for juicing your oranges and grapefruits. On the side is a toggle switch to turn it on which activates the aluminum reamer to rotate. The housing is made of aluminum which is painted gray. On top of the motor housing is a milk glass bowl with a spout to funnel the extracted juice into a glass or bowl. The reamer, glass insert and top housing are all removable for easy cleaning. It sits on four rubber feet that are replacements. The metal label shows this was made by the Dormeyer Corp of Chicago. I believe this is from the 1950’s. It is a heavy duty piece weighing over 7 pounds.
It measures about 7 ¾” to the top of the domed reamer but only 6 5/6” to the top of the glass liner. It measures about 6 ¼” across the widest part of the base and 8” from the back to the front of the spout. It is in good, mostly original, working condition with light wear. The original paint shows some scuff and scratch wear, particularly around the top edge. There is some roughness to the inside edge of the glass bowl as shown in the photo. As previously mentioned, the feet on the bottom have been replaced. The plastic cord is stained at the base and near the plug end.
It works as stated and should continue to do so with simple care but is a vintage appliance and is being sold as-is with no guarantees.
