Old, Fisher Ice Cream Scoop from Canada

This vintage ice cream dipper is a Fisher from Canada. The company name, Orillia Ont. and Made in Canada are marked on the front portion of the thumb lever. It is made of nickel and brass with a wooden handle. It is a size 20 round bowl (twenty scoops to the quart) and is marked on the thumb lever.

This was an inexpensive scoop when manufactured. The bowl was a poorly cast and has a textured finish on the outside and a dark solder line where the bowl is attached to the shank. The inside and outside of the bowl show wear with light scratches. The wiper extends slightly outside the bowl when released but works well. The handle is in fair condition. It measures about 10 1/2" in length.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
