This is an vintage, Bourjois Evening in Paris perfume bottle. What makes it unusual is the original packaging. The bottle rests in a cutout insert that is fitted into a painted, aluminum egg. On the lid of the egg is a small square inst with a foiled label that reads; Evening in Paris. The small cobalt blue bottle has a metallic thread wrapped around the neck and the top edge appears to have something that was probably a sealant. It has a white, frosted dauber with cork at the neck. The front of the bottle has a foiled paper label on the front stating that reads; Evening in Paris Bourjois - New York-Paris. The bottom is embossed; Bourjois. The bottle is empty but the scent still lingers. This would make a perfect Easter gift!
The bottle measures about 2 ¾” tall with the stopper by 1 ¼” wide and ½” thick. The bottle and the stopper are in good condition minimal wear.
The egg measures about 3 5/16” long by 3 ¼” wide by 2 ¼” thick. It is in very nice condition with overall, minimal wear. There is a little paint loss, primarily along the edges where two pieces come together, this can be seen in the second photo. The liner inside is in fairly good condition light soiling, edge and scuff wear and two small tears at the lower corners.
