Old Schafer & Vater Pitcher - Man with a Monkey

This vintage pitcher is an example of the saying about having a monkey on your back! It shows the typical whimsey of the Schafer & Vater Company of Germany. The man with a pained expression pours through his opened mouth while the monkey's tail acts as the handle. The man's pale green tunic is detailed with a vertical design and a horizontal trim. On the bottom is part of an ever so faint S & V crown mark along with a stamp; Made in Germany. These were made in several sizes, this being a larger size.

It is in very good condition showing minimal wear and no damage. It measures about 5 3/8" to the top of the monkey and about 5" across from nose to tail.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
