Old Eyeglass Case with Boise, Idaho Advertising

This is a nice vintage case for eyeglasses. The case is hard and covered with a red, slightly textured paper like material. On the front is a raised, silver colored metal strip that reads; Gem State Optical Co. with their Eastman Building address in Boise, Idaho. To one side is a circle with the RX in the center, around which it reads; Guild of Prescription- Opticians of America. The lid is hinged at the back and the inside of the case is lined with a maroon fabric. It has the original card to identify the owner of the glasses as well as the glasses cleaning cloth, again advertising Gem State Optical.

The case measures about 5 ¼” by 2 1/8” and probably would have taken a smaller pair of glasses. It is in very fine condition with minimal wear.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
