Old, Junior Instructor Books - Vol. I & II

These are fabulous reference books for teachers, parents, child care providers and home schoolers.....not to mention children of all ages! First copyrighted in 1916, this edition has a 1962 copyright date. The volumes are filled with nursery rhymes, poems and stories, sections of plays, games and songs as well as general knowledge about the world around us. There is a large section devoted to birds with beautiful color plates and a section with reprints of famous works of art by artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Jan Vermeer and Edgar Degas. Besides the colored photographs, the volumes are chock full of simple and quaint illustrations and black and white photographs. These are hardbound volumes with detailed sketches tooled on the front of each one. These are described as being A Treasure House of Adventure for Boys and Girls and there probably isn't a better description.

They each measure about 9" by 12" with over 350 total combined pages and are in very good condition. The pages are crisp and clean and the spines are tight. The cover shows very minimal edge and corner wear.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
