This vintage woodworking tool is a bevel square with a sliding blade. It appears to be made of rosewood with brass fittings and a blued steel blade. It has a brass lever to loosen and tighten the angle of the blade. It is made like the Stanley #25 Sliding T Bevel Square but the blade is only marked Made in U.S.A. I believe it is from the early 1900’s.
The blade measures about 8” in length by 1” wide and the handle portion measures about 5 ½” long. It is in generally good original condition with some nick and scuff wear from use. It appears blotchy because it still retains much of the original finish to the wood and protective coating on the brass since it has not been striped or polished. There is minimal wear to the bluing on the blade.
