This is a wonderful, vintage set of eight whimsical stir sticks. The top of each glass rod has a blown glass figure, each with a fishing motif. Four of the sticks have a fish, perhaps a marlin or swordfish. Two of the sticks have a red boat with a fisherman with his line in the water and the other two have fishermen with their catch, one is holding the fish across his chest and the other is holding it out toward his side. Some of the glass is colored while some of the color appears to be applied like an enamel. They come in their original box, minus a lid, which may have been a plastic cover. There is a foiled label in the box that reads; Hand Made but I find no maker or country of origin although my guess is either Czechoslovakia or Japan.
The swizzles vary slightly in length since they are hand blown but measure about 6 5/8” to 7 1/8”. They are in very good condition with no damage. The box measures about 7 ¾” by 9 ½” by 1 ½” and as previously mentioned, is missing its lid. Otherwise it is in fairly nice condition with some small tears and edge wear.
