1937 Tournament of Roses Parade Promotional Postcard Mailer

This old mailer is a vintage souvenir of the beautiful Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena California. The red, black and white cover features a damsel reaching over the balcony rail to hand a red rose to an armored knight on a white steed. Inside is a foldout with sixteen black and white photos of the Rose parade. Each picture features a float with reference to the entrants information including the prize they were awarded. The "Theme Prize" winner was called June Bride and a "Special Prize" was given to the State of Washington float named Romance of Sports which features a football player in the front. The continuous sheet of photos is folded into the packet that would have been addressed, stamped with a 2c stamp and mailed.

Folded, the mailer measures about 6 3/8" by 4 5/16". Each photo page measures about 6 3/16" by 4" with the photo portion being about 5" by 3". Overall it is in very good condition with minimal wear and creases and no tears. It was never addressed or stamped for mailing

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
