Old, Frankoma Leaf Candy Dish - Blue Glaze

This leaf shaped dish was made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma. It was called a Small Leaf Bowl in their 1951 catalog. I'm not positive but I think this is their Clay Blue glaze over the red Sapulpa clay which was used from 1953 - 1961. On the bottom it is stamped FRANKOMA and the design number 225.

It measures about 9 1/8" long, 4 1/2" at the widest part and 1 5/8" high and is in very good condition showing almost no wear. There are a couple of depressed ares on the scallop where it appears the glaze did not take as shown in the photos.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
