This Victorian styled rocking chair shows that some people with time on their hands can be very creative! The chair is made from an old pop or beer can. I say old because it is a tin can, not aluminum and there aren't a lot of cans of this style that are made of tin these days. The seat of the chair where the little upholstered seat is was the bottom of the can and the top was cut off and then the thin slats were cut and curled into this great design. It is spray painted gold and I'm guessing it was painted before it was curled. Tin can curling was quite popular in the 1950's and 60's and this may have been made as a fun pincushion.
It measures about 5" high at the back and 2 5/8" high at the top of the seat. It's in good condition with light wear and just a little paint loss.
