This is a fun set of vintage, double nine dominos in their original, old box. The lid of the box has an image of the United States Capitol Building and the back of each domino has a similar image in relief. The pips are recessed and painted white. This is a complete, double nine set consisting of 56 wood dominoes. The set was made by the Halsam Products Company of Chicago and comes with the original instructions. In the upper left corner of the box lid is the "For Victory Buy United States Savings Bonds and Stamps" logo that was used during WWII. The bottom of the box is stamped with the original price of 49c.
Each Domino measures about 2" by 1" by 3/8". They are in relatively good condition but there is some age deterioration or dull, flat spots to the surface on the image side. A few of them have some paint loss to the dots. I have tried to show an example of both situations in the photos.
The paper covered cardboard box measures about 4 3/8" by 7 ½" by 1 5/8" high and is in only fair condition with some tears and corner edge wear to the paper. The paper is also soiled and stained. None of the box corners are ripped.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
