Old Frankoma - Mayan Aztec, Covered Bean Pot, Desert Gold

This covered pot was made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma. It was called a 10oz. Baker with Lid or a Covered Bean Pot and is in the Mayan-Aztec pattern which was originally introduced in 1948. I believe this is their Desert Gold color, a creamy golden yellow glaze, over the light Ada clay. On the bottom it is marked only with the design number 7U. It is complete with its lid although the clay on the lid appears to be more like the red Sapulpa clay and they may be from two different time periods.

It measures about 3 1/2" tall to the top of the lid and about 5 1/4" across the handle or 3 5/8" excluding the handle. It is in very good condition with very minimal wear and no damage.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
