Vintage, Old English Tobacco Tin with Nice Old Graphics

This early tin once held Old English Curve Cut Pipe Tobacco. The top of the hinged lid is curved somewhat like a saddle and reads; A Slice to a Pipeful - Convenient - No Waste - Choice Quality. The front and back panels have a nice image of a man smoking a meerschaum pipe. It also reads; A Grand Combination of Choice Tobacco. The end panels still retain much of the John Q. Adams, 1910 tax stamp band. On the inside of the lid there are directions on how to smoke this tobacco which was from The American Tobacco Co.. On the bottom it has; Factory No.2 District of MD U.S.A. along with other information. The color is a rich maroon which didn't photograph well.

It measures just over 4 ½" wide by 3 ½" deep by 2 ¾" high at the raised corners. It is in very nice condition with small areas of light rub wear and some loss of paint on the edges of the lid.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
