Old, Battery Operated, Aurora Flashlight

This is a vintage flashlight called an Aurora. The cap end has a rayed, sun burst design with the name and Made in U.S.A.. The cylindrical body has a slide lever, recessed in an attached surround, to turn it on and off. The bezel that contains the lens is octagonal and it unscrews to replace the light bulb. The back cap unscrews to put in the 2 C-cell batteries. The entire housing appears to be nickel plated brass. I believe this is from the 1930's.

It measures about 5 ¼" long and the front lens measures about 2" in diameter. It is in working condition as shown in the photo. Most of the plating is in good original condition but there is some brass showing through, primarily on the brass cap and on the raised housing around the switch. There are minor dents in the metal. The glass is in tact and the inside of the battery compartment is pretty clean. Batteries Not Included, however the bulb is.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
