Old, Oil-O-Sol, Bottle with Original Packaging
This little bottle is a vintage product called Oil-O-Sol. This liquid, made in part of turpentine, linseed oil and camphor, was used for many basic first aid treatments. This is an old bottle that appears to be full of the original product. The bottle has the original paper label and screw on lid and it comes with its original box. The box has the ingredients and general directions on its panels. It was made by the C.A. Mosso Company of Chicago, IL which was established in 1885. According to the bottom flap of the box this packaging was adopted in 1942 and the cost was 50c for the 1oz. bottle.
The bottle measures about 3 5/8" tall by 1 3/8" wide and contains 1 Fluid Ounce of the Soothing Antiseptic. It is in very good condition and appears to have never been opened. The box for it measures about 3 7/8" by 1 ¾" by 1 ¼" and is in nice condition with overall, light wear however the top has been nearly torn off and has been reinforced on the inside.
********This is an old bottle of Oil-O-Sol and I have only one bottle.*********
