This vintage fishing lure comes from the Horrocks-Ibbotson Co. that was apparently in the business of making fishing tackle since 1812. The lure looks somewhat like a frog, green body with black markings, large yellow and black eyes and a red, open mouth and it`s "tail" appears to be white streamers. It has two, three barbed hooks hanging from the lower side. On the original package it lists it as being a #1162 Popperoo 3/8 oz lure. On the back of the cardboard it reads; Japan.
The lure is in very good, apparently unused condition and measures about 2 1/4" in length excluding the tail and streamers. The cardboard shows soiling and staining and the plastic the lure is encased in is yellowed, cracked along the corners, scratched and soiled.
