The Woodwright's Shop features Roy Underhill and is based on the PBS television series with Two Volumes in One. This edition combines the original Woodwright's Shop with its follow-up, The Woodwright's Companion. It's a great book filled with the tools and techniques of simple wood crafting without the noise of modern machinery. Underhill attempts to show how a tree and an axe can be the start of great things. It has about 400 pages total including the two indexes with 600 photographs. This combined, hardbound edition, published by MJF Books of New York, arrangement with The University of North Carolina Press, 1981 and 1983 copyright dates. The Library of Congress Catalogue Card Number; 98-66472. It has its original dust jacket.
It measures about 8 ¾" by 11 1/8" by just more than 1" and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The hardbound cover has been protected by the dust jacket. The pages are unmarked, fresh and clean with a tight spine. The dust jacket is in good condition with light scuff and edge wear.
