Old Art Tile - Alaskan Bear

This colorful, hand painted tile could have been a souvenir from Alaska. In the center of the colorful scene is a brown bear. Below the image it reads "Curiosity is the one thing invincible in nature" which is a quote from Freya Stark, a British explorer and writer. There is a sprig with berries and the name Freya Stark. The back is of the tile is incised - Made In England along with other information that is hidden under an original paper label from happytalk. The label has a small hanging device so it could be hung on the wall. With the small cork pads it could be used as a trivet or it would be nice standing on a plate rack. Any way it was used it would add color and interest to your home or office décor.

It measures about 6" square by 3/16" thick and is in very good condition with minimal wear.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
