Old Nippon, Hand Painted Handled Porcelain Nut Dish

This small, hand painted, Nippon dish could be used for nuts or dipping sauce or perhaps as a dresser pin tray. The scene has the pale lavender colors of a morning sunrise with boats on a lake and trees along the shore. The edges and pierced handles are trimmed with detailed beading. The back has the blue sunrise mark with Hand Painted Nippon.

It measures about 5 1/16" across at the handles and not quite 4 ½" top to bottom. It sits about 1 ¼" high at the handles. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage. There is a little bit of the beading missing from one handle.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
