This vintage kitchen tool is a wire whisk with a multiple purpose. It's obvious that it can be used as a whisk or slotted spoon. The twisted handle is five heavy wires that cease to twist about 3 ½" from the end where they make a bend. There is a copper wire that wraps around the five and slides up and down so the jaws can open and close. This end could be used for several applications. Holding a cloth in the jaws it could be used as a bottle brush/cleaner or it could be used to clean the chimney of a kerosene lamp.
It measures about 13" in length and the spoon portion measures about 2 7/8" wide and is in nice condition with age wear.
