This is a sweet, vintage Christmas ornament! The blown glass has a clear panel in the front with what appears like a very thin whitewash type paint coating over the rest. Inserted inside is a paper diecut of a little boy playing an accordion with a village scene and lamp light in the background. The "window" is trimmed with a lightly textured "snow" that continues onto the cardboard base the ornament is attached to. Because of the base it can be hung on the tree or used sitting on its own. It has a little metal white metal cap which is unmarked. The bottom is faintly stamped but I can only make out a few letters of Germany. There is also some handwriting that appears to be in crayon.
The ornament measures almost 5" high excluding the wire loop and the base measures about 2 1/8" in diameter. The glass is in good, undamaged condition. There is wear to the white paint with some scratches and light flaking. The cardboard base has a crease at the front edge.
