This is a vintage cookbook from The Junior League of Pasadena. The California Heritage Cookbook includes hundreds of recipes divided into typical topics like Appetizers & Soups, Vegetables & Salads, Rice & Pasta, Seafood & Fish, Meats, Poultry & Game and so on. What is unique, other that some of the individual recipes, is that each chapter is also titled with a specific region of California and then several pages describe the region and give a brief history of the area. It has 424 pages including the index in the back for easy referencing. This appears to be the first printing and was published by Doubleday & Co. of New York with a 1976 copyright. Hard, linen cover with gold lettering on the spine. No dust jacket.
It measures about 7 3/8" by 10 ½" by 1 3/8" and is in very good condition with minor wear. The inside pages are crisp and clean and the spine is tight. The cover has minimal edge and corner wear except for the top of the spine edge were it has torn from being removed from the shelf.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
