Old Masonic Lapel Pin - Beautiful Detail

This vintage lapel pin is a nice example of a Masonic piece. It is a nicely detailed design with the square, compass and letter "G" which represents Freemasonry. At the top of the compass is a stone in a bezel setting. The back has a threaded post which goes through the lapel slot and accepts the keeper that secures it to the fabric. The keeper is marked The Victory and has a 1900 patent date. It is unmark with gold content so it is assumed to be rolled gold or gold plated. The stone has a lot of sparkle and is not foil backed but has not been checked.

It measures about 11/16" in length and is in very nice original condition with minimal wear and no signs of base metal showing through. The tip of one leg of the compass is bent.
