Old Wind-up Toy - Dog Playing Musical Guitar

This colorful vintage toy has a plush and tin puppy playing a guitar or ukulele. When wound by the attached key, the dog appears to strum the guitar while moving his head back and forth. Music plays which has no resemblance to a guitar but rather like melodic chimes. The dog has a plush covered body with tin eyes, a plastic nose and a little felt tongue. One hand is tin and the other is a composition material. He's dressed in velveteen-like pants and jacket and has red tin shoes. He is standing on a colorful tin ball that houses the music maker. It is marked; Made in Japan on the ball and on his shoes.

The toy measures about 10 ¼" tall and is in good working condition with otherwise minimal wear. There is some light scratch and scuff wear to the painted tin, particularly on his knuckles. The plush and clothing have minimal soiling or other wear, the ribbon around his neck is faded and frayed.
