Old, Jointed, Mohair Teddy Bear with Glass Eyes

This loveable vintage teddy bear appears to be made of an off white or champagne colored mohair with pale pinkish felt pads with no claws. It has glass eyes and it's snout has a stitched nose and mouth. It is soft stuffed and his arms and legs are jointed. The head may have been movable at one time but there are a couple of stitches that keep it from moving very far now. I believe it was probably made in the 1920's or 30's and is possibly British. There are no labels or other forms of identification.

He measures about 14 ½" lying down or about 10 ½" to the top of his ear while sitting up. He's in fairly good condition with light play wear. There are some areas where the fur is worn down to the fabric, minor soiling and the felt is slighty balled and worn.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
