This is a vintage celluloid pin back button with a tinted photo of Wm, McKinley the 25th President of the United States of America. After his first term McKinley was re-elected in 1900. He was assassinated in 1901 at the Pan American Exposition in New York and was succeeded by his Vice President Theodore Roosevelt. The lower edge of this button reads; Copyright 1900. Inside the back is the original paper insert showing it was made by the Whitehead & Hoag Company.
It measures about 13/16" in diameter and is in nice condition. The celluloid is pretty smooth with minimal bumps and scratch wear. There is a small pin hole that can be seen in the photos. The metal ring and the pin on the back does have rust and the paper insert in stained.
