This vintage baby book would be appropriate for either a baby boy or girl but may have been intended for a boy since the padded cover is a pale blue, satin like, moire fabric with a blue and white design. It reads; Babyhood Years and has happy lambs jumping a fence surrounded in flowers. Inside it is filled with cute illustrations of babies and little children. It has more than twenty-five pages with places for all the vital statistics of a child's young life including places for hand and foot prints and special photos. There are places for baby's development, "firsts" and a page for each of the first five birthdays. There is also a page for growth and health records and the centerfold is a family tree. It's just a beautiful way of recording the first several years of a little life and would make a unique baby shower gift. It was designed by Louise Rumely and has a 1960 copyright by Artist and Writers Press, Inc.. It was printed by Western Printing and Lithographing company. It comes with its original box from Sanitoy.
The book measures about 9" by 11 ¾" and is in very good, unused condition. The box shows wear with some creases, soiling and tears but it has protected the book nicely.
