These vintage, children's books are from the Bobbsey Twins series written by Laura Lee Hope.
The first is The Bobbsey Twins Keeping House. It has 22 chapters of Nan & Bert, along with their friends, in 262 pages with a few illustrations by W.S. Rogers. It has a 1925 copyright by the publishers Grosset & Dunlap. It has the previous owner's name, written in pen on the inside cover.
It measures about 5 ¼" by 7 5/8" by 1 ¼" and is in fairly good condition but not without a few problems. The inside pages are generally crisp and clean and the spine is tight. There are a few edge tears and one page corner has been torn off. The inside cover page is torn out and the back side of the front piece illustration is stained. The linen cover has light edge and stain wear and the spine edge is somewhat faded.
The second book is called The Bobbsey Twins At The Circus and it has wonderful illustrations by Marie Schubert. It has 25 chapters with Nan & Bert and Flossie & Freddie in 250 pages. It has a 1932 copyright by the publishers Grosset & Dunlap, Inc. It was customized by a previous owner with two paper decals glued inside, one of Lt. Rudder and one of Radio's Orphan Annie as well as the previous owner's name, written in pen as shown in the photos.
It measures about 5 ¼" by 7 5/8" by 1 ¼" and is in fairly good condition but not without a few problems. The inside pages are crisp and clean but the spine is broken on the title page and inside there are 3 pages that are loose or torn out (none missing). The linen cover has light edge and stain wear and the spine edge is somewhat faded.
