These little pieces of celluloid are vintage place card holders for holding name tags at a well set dining table. This is a fun set with four different birds. Two of them look like some sort of parrot, one looks like a baby chick and the other looks like it might be a songbird with a beady little eye. All of them have painted details and two of them have little, applied bow ties. On the back each has a thin strip of celluloid in which to put a name card to designate a persons place at the table. On the bottom of the black oval celluloid bases they are all marked Made in Japan and/or have a paper label that reads, Japan.
They measure between 1 11/16" and 2 1/16" high and are in very nice condition with minimal wear and no damage. The black, oval bases measure about 1 3/8" by 5/8".
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
