Old J.S. Fray Woodworker's Combination Tool

This is a very attractive, antique combination tool. The beautiful handle is possibly made of rosewood and the end cap screws off to open the compartment. It has six different blades in the handle that can be inserted into the chuck. There are 3 different sized screwdriver blades, a nail pulling blade, a ¼" flat bladed chisel and a ¼" gouge chisel. On the ferrule it is marked; J.S. Fray & Co. Bridgeport CT. U.S.A.. There are no marks on the blades. I assume it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's.

It measures about 5 ¾" long and overall is in nice condition. The handle has good patina and wear marks but I find no damage. The plating is worn on both the ferrule and chuck allowing brass to show through a little on the ferrule and some discoloration on the chuck. The blades range from about 2 3/8" to 2 9/16" in length and they all show some use wear.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
